A Cozy Savannah Wedding Day
We’re lucky to witness love stories that span states, seasons, and lifetimes at The Kimpton Brice—and Stephen and Cassie’s is one we adore. Their journey began in Jacksonville, Florida, where football Saturdays and family connections set fate in motion. They first crossed paths at the Florida/Georgia tailgate in 2018, introduced by Stephen’s best friend Matt—who, by happy coincidence, was already part of Cassie’s family as her brotherinlaw. After years of hearing hilarious stories about Stephen, Cassie finally got to meet the man behind the legend.
Their story eventually circled right back to Savannah. Stephen planned a special weekend here—one Cassie had a feeling might lead to something unforgettable. She tried to stay calm, but when she opened the door to their room and found her chihuahua, Rodger, wearing a ribbon with a ring tied neatly around it, everything stopped. A photo session in The Kimpton Brice courtyard quickly turned into imagining a wedding in the very same romantic space
Once they saw the courtyard at night—glowing, intimate, and full of that signature, Savannah magic—the choice to be married at The Brice was immediate. Planning both the ceremony and reception was effortless, but their big day came with a moment they’ll never forget.
Some of Cassie’s favorite moments happened away from the crowds: slipping back to check on Rodger, soaking in a few quiet minutes with Stephen, and savoring the sweetness of their day. The entire week was wrapped in warmth—from a cozy date night at Alligator Soul, to Thursday bouquet‑making with bridesmaids. Their rehearsal dinner at Paula Deen’s set the tone for a weekend filled with joy, intention, and people who showed up wholeheartedly to celebrate them.
The celebration continued the next day at PS Tavern, where they gathered with friends and family who stayed in town to watch the Green Bay Packers game. It offered one more chance to hug, laugh, and thank the people who helped usher in their new beginning. Cassie’s best advice after it all: relax, breathe, and let the love take center stage.
